Manny Pacquiao denies saying "homosexuals must be put to death"

After getting a deluge of criticism yesterday for his alleged anti-gay remark, boxing champ and Philippine congressman Manny Pacquiao vehemently denies that he quoted a Bible verse stating that gay men "must be put to death" in an interview published by the National Conservative Examiner last Tuesday. The Pinoy fighter clarified that he only shared his thoughts that same marriage is against the law of God when asked about President Obama's gay marriage stance.

Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez will be the girl to beat as the top rating reality singing contest American Idol gets nearer to the finals with only three contenders left vying for this season's title. Jessica became the last girl remaining on the show after Hollie Cavanagh was eliminated on Thursday.

The 16-year-old singer earned praises and another standing ovation from the show's judges, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, for her powerful rendition of the Dreamgirls classic "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" on Wednesday's performance night. She also sang the Etta James' "Steal Away."
