Valerie Garcia (born May 26, 1987), more popularly known as Bangs Garcia, is a Filipina actress who was first noticed in the ABS-CBN’s youth-oriented sitcoms Let’s Go and Gokada Go. The nickname “Bangs” came about because her bangs/fringe covered her face.
Before entering show business, Bangs joined reality shows like Campus Idol where she emerged as the female grand winner.
Her first appearance on national TV was on another reality search, Close-Up To Fame, where she ended up as one of the runners-up to female grand winner Carine Cabebe.
She then became a member of ABS-CBN’s circle of homegrown talents, Star Magic, and made a slew of television projects including Let’s Go, Gokada Go, and Wowowee.
She eventually got meatier roles in some of ABS-CBN’s top rating teleseryes such as Kambal sa Uma, Palos, Katorse and Magkano Ang Iyong Dangal?
Bangs also made movies under Star Cinema including Cinco, Bulong, Segunda Mano and The Reunion.
She currently stars in the daily afternoon soap Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo and the Sunday youth-oriented show Luv U.
