KC Concepcion: The Mega Daughter

Maria Kristina Cassandra Cuneta Concepcion, or simply KC, was born on April 7, 1985.  Almost everybody knows her, except those who are living under a rock. She is a daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and 1980's matinee idol Gabby Concepcion. The name Kristina was from her mom while Cassandra was from her biological dad who loved the movie Cassandra Crossing.

KC was estranged from her father for thirteen years following her parents annulment and his immigration to the United States in 1995. Her mother remarried and KC was eventually adopted by her stepfather Senator Kiko Pangilinan.

She graduated from the International School Manila in 2003 and then flew to Paris to take up a bachelor's degree in International Corporate Communications with a minor in Theatre Arts at the American University of Paris. She graduated in 2007 and went home to Manila.

2008 was a big year for KC.  It was during that year that she was appointed by the United Nations World Food Program as National Ambassador Against Hunger.  She also won the Nickelodeon Philippines Kids' Choice Awards for Pinoy Wannabe and made her acting debut in Maalaala Mo Kaya episode entitled Mansyon. It was also the year when she made her film debut in Star Cinema's For The First Time opposite Richard Guttierez. Her debut album entitled a.k.a. Cassandra, which included the hit single Imposible, was also launched in 2008.

The following year, she reunited with Richard Guttierez and they starred in the movie When I Met U - a co-production between GMA Films and Regal Films.  She also played the lead in the remake of the Koreanovela, Lovers in Paris opposite Piolo Pascual in 2009.

At present, KC hosts a daily magazine show, Simply KC, and co-hosts the top rating celebrity talk show The Buzz every Sunday. She also recently starred with her real life father Gabby Conception in the film, I'll Be There and cut her second studio album, KC, featuring three songs that she wrote herself: Magandang Umaga, Takipsilim, and Worth The Wait.
