Now that Richard Gomez, John Estrada, Carmina Villaroel, and more recently, Joey Marquez, are back on the Kapamilya network, can their hit 80's sitcom Palibhasa Lalake be far behind? Fans of the longest-running TV sitcom on Philippine television are in for a treat as Marquez hinted in an interview that a reunion is not so far-fetched after all.
When asked by the press for his comment on a Palibahasa Lalake reunion after his contract-signing in ABS-CBN yesterday, Marquez said he is excited with the prospect. "Alam naman natin, very obvious naman eh. Kapag lahat ng ingredients kinukuha unti-unti, alam mo na ang lulutuin," the comedian said.
Aside from Marquez, Gomez, Villaroel and Estrada, other Palibhasa Lalake cast members are also in the Kapamilya network such as Eric Fructuoso and Jomari Yllana. Anjo Yllana and Mark Anthony Fernandez are still connected with GMA while Amy Perez is a TV5 talent. Gloria Romero has a drama series in GMA but is not exclusively tied to the network. Cynthia Patag is now retired and based in Iloilo, taking care of her 85-year-old mother.
As part of his contract, Marquez is slated to co-host the investigative showbiz talk show The Showbiz Inside Report which will replace Entertainment Live (E-Live) starting February 4. He will be joined by Ogie Diza and recent balik-Kapamilya stars Janice de Belen and Carmina Villaroel.
