Kapuso star Marian Rivera cut her hair short to give her role in the new GMA romantic drama series My Beloved a fresh look. "Nagpaputol ako ng buhok to get into my role here in My Beloved," Marian said during the press launch of the series which will premier tonight on GMA.
Marian, who is known for her long straight hair in her last TV outing, the epicserye Amaya, opted for a shoulder length do with layered wavy ends for her new project. "Para bagong show, bagong hitsura, tsaka bagong utak. Kasi tapos na ang Amaya, hindi naman sa gusto kong burahin si Amaya. Gusto ko naman paghandaan si Sharina sa My Beloved. Wala naman akong peg sa bagong look na ito. Wala akong ginaya," she said in another interview. See more of Marian's new look below.
In My Beloved, Marian is reunited with her Marimar leading man and reel and real life sweetheart Dingdong Dantes. She will play Sharina, a beautiful mortal who falls in love with a fallen angel, Arlan, played by Dingdong.
The couple will be joined by a formidable cast including Nova Villa, Paolo Contis, Katrina Halili , Marky Lopez, Jennica Garcia, Carl Guevarra, Louise delos Reyes, Alden Richards, Mikael Daez, Saab Magalona, Djanin Cruz, Andrea Torres, with the special participation of Chanda Romero, and introducing Ynna Asistio.
